The TV comedy Carter, which stars Jerry O’Connell as a Canadian actor who parlays his skills as a TV detective into real crime-solving in his Ontario hometown, is partway through its first season on Bravo but will get another go-round on CTV this summer.

Bell Media says the series reached more than 1.1 million viewers in its first week on Bravo, becoming one of the channel’s top five shows.

Its CTV run starts July 24.

The series is set in fictional Bishop, Ontario, but was shot in North Bay, a city of which the Manhattan-born O’Connell has become quite a fan.

There’s no word yet on a second season.

In the meantime, Sony Pictures Television Networks is airing the series in Latin America, Central Europe and Russia, Bell says, with episodes to debut in the U.K. on June 13, and in Spain and Portugal later this summer.

The series continues to air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo and will stream on CraveTV after its Bravo run.

It also stars Sydney Poitier Heartsong and Kristian Bruun.
