Man dies after ‘disturbance’ in northwestern Ontario, police say

SIOUX LOOKOUT, ONT.—Provincial police say a man has been charged with second-degree murder after a “disturbance” in northwestern Ontario left another man dead.

OPP say they were called to the incident around 2:30 a.m. Saturday in Sioux Lookout, Ont.

They say a man was located with serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police have identified the victim as 22-year-old Skylar Meshake of Sioux Lookout.

Sgt. Petrina Taylor-Hertz declined to provide further details on the victim’s injuries or whether he knew the suspect.

Police say a 34-year-old man was arrested shortly after and he has been charged with second-degree murder.
